Wild Dandelions......

Make a wish.........

When I was younger, I remember being so excited to see
these because it meant you got to make a wish ,and if you
blew all the fuzzies off, your wish would then come true.
I'm sure spreading these lovelies all over more lawns. oops!

We've got these sprouting up all over......

So i thought I'd have a bit of fun with these pesky, but

pretty Lil' weeds........

Lot's of busy bees out working.....

Spring is definitely near.
Thank you all for all your caring thoughts on my last post.
My husband is recovering very well.

mmmm! Chocolate cake and pretty mini banners

Happy Friday........

I got this yummy chocolate cake mix at Trader Joes...

I just love the pretty pink and retro packaging.......
it's pretty tasty too!
Perfect for a Happy Friday celebration!

These little mini banners are new in my Etsy shop......

It's been a really crazy week......

We had to say good by to a very dear
and Long, time family friend,
he and his lovely wife were married for 65 years!
His gentleness and smile will definetly be missed!

My son had his last game for basketball, now
gearing up for baseball, along with sign ups
already for football. Craziness!

My husband had to have knee surgery yesterday....
He had a small meniscus tear....
He has never had surgery, so a bit anxious.
It went very well, it was same day surgery...
so we were in and out.
Amazing!
He kept saying he couldn't believe how quick
it went.
So it's crutches and taking it easy for a bit.

So yes , ready for some Friday celebration!

Hope you all have a very wonderful day!

Happy Friday !

Tea Cups......

With spring time approaching

I cant stop thinking of tea cups

and tea parties.........

tiny, dainty, pretty foods....

laughter and friends......

All the best china....

flowers and linens.....

The mere chink of cups and saucers tunes the mind to happy repose.
~George Gissing, The Private Papers of Henry Ryecroft

The daintiness and yet elegance of a china tea cup focuses
one to be gentle,to think warmly and to feel close.
~Carol and Malcolm Cohen~

I like to... think about the houses and the drawing
rooms, the kitchens and the cupboards where
the {tea cups} were kept.And the people
who cared for them and what they thought and felt
and loved and lost.
For as a wise french writer once said,
"the reconstitution of the past is a delicate pleasure
of which one should not be deprived.
~Geraldene Holt~

Find yourself a cup of tea; the teapot is behind you.
Now tell me about hundreds of things.
~Saki~

Remember the tea kettle -
it is always up to its neck in hot water, yet it still sings!
~Author Unknown~

"I can just imagine myself sitting down at the head of the table
and pouring out the tea," said Anne, shutting her eyes ecstatically.
"And asking Diana if she takes sugar! I know she doesn't but
of course all ask her just as if I didn't know."
~Anne of Green Gables~

I'm definetly looking forward to filling these tea cups with the
delight of tasty tea,
tiny foods,and thoughtful conversation.

I hope you are having a wonderful Friday.

I'm a bit late but I'm linking up
with the most lovely Joyce over at I Love pretty things.
For Friday pretties.
There is so many pretties to see.
