mmmm! Chocolate cake and pretty mini banners

Happy Friday........

I got this yummy chocolate cake mix at Trader Joes...

I just love the pretty pink and retro packaging.......
it's pretty tasty too!
Perfect for a Happy Friday celebration!

These little mini banners are new in my Etsy shop......

It's been a really crazy week......

We had to say good by to a very dear
and Long, time family friend,
he and his lovely wife were married for 65 years!
His gentleness and smile will definetly be missed!

My son had his last game for basketball, now
gearing up for baseball, along with sign ups
already for football. Craziness!

My husband had to have knee surgery yesterday....
He had a small meniscus tear....
He has never had surgery, so a bit anxious.
It went very well, it was same day surgery...
so we were in and out.
Amazing!
He kept saying he couldn't believe how quick
it went.
So it's crutches and taking it easy for a bit.

So yes , ready for some Friday celebration!

Hope you all have a very wonderful day!

Happy Friday !

I'm linking up with The lovely Joyce over at...I love pretty little things
Hop on over for lot's of Friday pretty link ups.

Hi Elizabeth!
I'll be married 33 years this summer... 65 is nearly double the time! I can't imagine the loss his wife feels! What a legacy for marriage they are.
One of my colleagues just had knee surgery... I hope she is feeling some relief too... it's amazing what they can do now ... just amazing. Wishing your husband a speedy recovery!

Your chocolate cake looks delicious. I don't think I have a Trader Joe's anywhere in my area. I know if I ever see one, I will not be driving passed {even if my husband is in the driver's seat} ... the car will be pulling in. I have read such good things about this store! This chocolate cake mix is another good reason!
Have a wonderful weekend... wishing you joy!

Have just discovered your lovely blog and am now following. I'm so sorry you lost your lovely friend, we just found out a couple hours ago we have too, the most beautiful man ever. He used to be in charge of welcoming everyone at the door of our church and because of him I started going to that church as he just shined such happiness.
Sending some power prayers to all the families who have lost special joys.
