Art and Wine Event........

This past weekend my mom, my sister and I participated

in a Wine and Art Faire.

It was an outdoor event that had wine tasting and an art auction,

music, beer, yummy kettle corn, and lots and lots of artists!

3 roads were blocked off,

and there were booths up and down the streets.



They also had kid booths where they could create their own

masterpiece!

So I took a few pics and I thought I'd share our space and some

of the art that was there.

We have been having very mild temperatures, but

not this day. It was upper 90's, very hot! Good thing

we had the cold beer truck by our booth space!

My sister and I both like to experiment in

lots of different kinds of art projects......




My mom knitted these really cool earrings and my sister

added the jewelry pieces to make earrings.

Aren't they super cute!

The next few pics are my sisters creations.........

These little nest she made are so cute!

{I put in a birthday request for one of these!}

My mom makes lots and lots of cute knitted things!

We call her the {Knitting Queen!}

She knits scarfs to socks ....... {really comfy socks} too

My mom and sister share an Etsy site together called Valley Girlz.

They have lots of goodies, sure to get you in the fall mood!

There was so much see, but we had to man the booth

so here are a few pics that I snapped on a quick little stroll.....

They had some interesting traffic!

There was so much to see , all different types of

art.........

from funky to pretty, to wow! To I'm not quite sure,

but very interesting!

It was a busy weekend but we enjoyed participating

and left feeling very inspired from all the wonderful artwork

we were surrounded by for the day!

Landing zone.......

I guess we have become the new rest stop...

for these lovely buzzing bees............

Take a close look..........

That's no normal tree branch!

Our garden is right by this tree........

So as I was leisurely taking a stroll

and checkin' on the garden......

{making sure we still had a garden.} :]

I looked up and about wet my pants!

Holy Moly!

That's a lot of bees!

I think I left skid marks from my feet taking

off to get in the house! Good thing they weren't

killer bees!

This same time last year we had them stop

and rest in another tree.

There were 10x more and they gathered in a huge

ball about the size

of two beach balls!

Crazy!

Thankfully

one of the dads at the school I work at, is a bee

keeper.

So I frantically gave him a call!

What should we do?

We didn't want to harm them.

They were up a lot higher so it was going to be a

bit of a challenge.

So his advice......

If they don't like the spot they won't stay, if they

haven't left in a couple of days I'll come back and get them!

And sure enough a few days later they had taken

flight.........

This time around there was a lot less and they didn't

stay but the afternoon......

and then they were off again.......


I took these from my bedroom window.

They were swarming like crazy......

It was a bit scary!

They must really like our garden two have come

back to visit again!

But I have to say......

I'm glad there stay was a shorter one!

I love the bees, but not that many visitors at once

please!
