A little chocolate.....

Every once in a while.........

A girl needs her chocolate fix!


This week , Well lets just say I got mine!

See's Candy is a cute candy shop that started in

Los Angeles in 1921....

When you step inside See's Candy it's like a little
step back in time.......
The cute black and white look was inspired by Mrs. See's
kitchen.

Ever since I was little, this has been a little treat!

My mom would take my sister and I to

get a few pieces in a bag....

and of course the anticipated sample they give you!

It's definitely become a little tradition we still do.
and are handing it down.... to our kiddo's
Hey, when a tradition is that good!

I love when you step in the cute door,

and the black and white checkered floor....

and of course the chocolate, lots and lots of chocolate!

The cute little ladies in their white and black outfits....

We've decided one of the ladies who has worked there
for a very long time is not getting her chocolate!
And boy does she need it!
{Not this lady in the picture though, she looks like she quite happy!}


Well this week I got my fix not once but Twice : ]

A good friend called and asked what I was doing...

She said, "meet me at See's I'll buy you a piece!"

You didn't have to say that twice!

She's always been a good mind reader.....

I think she new a was in need of a chocolate fix!

I've been in a bit of a slump....

And my second trip was with my mom and sister....

We did a bit of shopping and shared a bit of chocolate

Our See's candy is located where a bunch of the

cutest little shops are! Perfect for a girls favorite thing.....

Shop, talk, laugh, chocolate,shop.......
Good Stuff!

One of my favorites is the Dark Bordeaux! mmm!

Thank you all for your sweet comments for my sons arm!
He is doing very well!
The biggest thing is keeping him from sticking things like...
chopsticks,rulers, etc...
to itch his arm!
Oh, and the lovely smell!

Garage Sale Friday Pretties......

and they are perfect for right above

my biggest pretty..........

It was my inspiration pretty that got me to change

up my work space....

I've been wanting something different for my tiny work

area......

And when I say tiny I mean 5x12 tiny.....

I think I've finally have found the perfect fit!

Still working on it.....

But I'm thinking it's a space that is more me!

So I'm hoping this will be my new space,instead of the kitchen

table!

That's the plan!

Well, this week has definitely been a little hard getting back

in the swing of things!

First day back to school my son decided to injure his arm!

{Gotta love football!}

He didn't break the bone just almost broke it.

A torus fracture is what they call it. They still put a cast on

for 4 weeks .

So that was a fun start.....

Not so bad, considering

his freshmen year he broke his leg in wrestling

not just one but both bones in his

leg and was in a full leg cast for a couple of months!

That was not so pretty!

Ok enough of bone breakin' talk!

Peace....

Now this is talent.........

Is this not the coolest thing......

Someone carved this tree in their front yard.....

My sister and I were doing one of our

favorite things to do on a Saturday morning...

Garage sale hoppin'......

and when we turned the corner on one of the streets

we were on, I caught a glance at this and was like,

" look at that tree it looks like its saying peace!"

We took a closer look and we were like,

It Is saying peace!

They actually carved it out!

It's got finger nails and creases.

Of course I didn't have my camera on me :[

But I had to go back and take a few to share with you!

I thought it was pretty cool!

Gonna enjoy our last day of summer break!

Friday Pretties And Julia

Well, I just realized that it was gonna be Friday...

and I just did this post about Julia....

I realized that I almost forgot Friday pretties....
Although I think She would pass as a pretty.

So I've added on my Pretty to this post .........

My youngest sons Art piece.......

I've been painting and he asked if he could
paint a canvas to. This is what he painted
today!
He said...." Put it on your Etsy." I said, "it's definitely
Etsy worthy,but I love it to much!"

That was it, loved her ever since then.....

I think it's her contagious smile!

Last week Suzanne over at Privet and Holly

did a post about aging gracefully .

Which I just loved.

With everywhere you turn, it's all about turning

the clock back.

When you have somebody like Julia who says...

I haven't ran out like most of Hollywood to

erase my age.....

It's so refreshing!

I came across this interview with Julia......



And this is what she had to say about the aging thing........

Julia Roberts believes "your face tells a story," and that's why the 42-year-old actress doesn't ever want to alter her life's narrative with plastic surgery, Botox or any other visage-altering treatments. In Hollywood, growing old gracefully is an endangered and even quaint idea, and Roberts can't understand why.

"It's unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don't even give themselves a chance to see what they'll look like as older persons,"

"I want to have some idea of what I'll look like before I start cleaning the slates."

A key reason she's keeping things natural is to give her the ability to communicate with her kids without confusion on their part.

"I want my kids to know when I'm pissed, when I'm happy, and when I'm confounded," she snarked. "Your face tells a story ... and it shouldn't be a story about your drive to the doctor's office."
