Beautiful Poem

A beautiful poem I came across..........

I dreamed I had an interview with God.
“So you would like to interview me?” God asked.
“If you have the time” I said.
God smiled. “My time is eternity.”
“What questions do you have in mind for me?”

“What surprises you most about humankind?”
God answered...

“That they get bored with childhood,
they rush to grow up, and then
long to be children again.”

“That they lose their health to make money...
and then lose their money to restore their health.”

“That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present,
such that they live in neither
the present nor the future.”

"That they live as if they will never die,
and die as though they had never lived.”

God’s hand took mine
and we were silent for a while.

And then I asked...
“As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons
you want your children to learn?”

“To learn they cannot make anyone
love them. All they can do
is let themselves be loved.”

“To learn that it is not good
to compare themselves to others.”

“To learn to forgive
by practicing forgiveness.”

“To learn that it only takes a few seconds
to open profound wounds in those they love,
and it can take many years to heal them.”

“To learn that a rich person
is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least.”

“To learn that there are people
who love them dearly,
but simply have not yet learned
how to express or show their feelings.”

“To learn that two people can
look at the same thing
and see it differently.”

“To learn that it is not enough that they
forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”

"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.

"Is there anything else
you would like your children to know?"
God smiled and said,
“Just know that I am here... always.”

Rice & Rose Petals

I've been in a bit of a funk this last week.....

It's been hard to snap out of it......

But ,I won't bore you with details......

I do have some good news!!!

My camera has survived its underwater experience!

It's not a fancy camera.....

but, it's all I got right now.....

And me and that camera, well.......

we had some big plans for summer break......

without a camera, no photos for my Etsy :[...

no photos for my blog :[

I was not a happy camper........

My son suggested I......

put it in a bowl of rice.......

I was like..........

rice........

I don't think that will work for my camera.........

It's a done deal.......

It took me two days to take his advice ......

and give it a try .........

It would turn on, but there was still water inside.......

at this point..........

what do I got to lose,right........

So I don't know if it was the rice.......

possibly a miracle........

but I left it in the rice for two days........

went to give it one last try.........

{before declaring it was a true goner}........

and Oh my gosh!!!!! It worked!

I can't tell you how thrilled I was.........

I don't know for sure if it was the rice......

{It supposedly helps with moisture}....

or time, but...........

I'm soooooo happy that it works!!!!...........

Thank you Bubs! For your great advice!

So I have a few pretties...........

As, I had to test it out........

I have lots of rose petals falling from the rose bushes.......

Pretty pink petals.............

A bit more good news..........

Summer break has begun..........

I hope you have all had a wonderful start

to your weekend!

Blessings to you!

Beauty of nature......

I've been in a little overwhelmed this week........

and in a bit of a slump.............

I had a very nice Saturday..............

until my camera fell into the...........you don't want to know

we will just say, it got wet.......

So fingers crossed it will dry out...........

And I've had a bit of blogger's block.........

My nephew was hanging out today, he's 9 his advice

to me was, how about nature...........

I asked him like what ...........

He said like how nature is so beautiful and all of God's creations........

sooooo cute!

Still not sure, and feeling not ,very creative.........

I was looking at some magazines and I came across this........

Anyone can take style inspiration from the garden......

Just borrow from the romantic color palettes that occur

in nature, whether your creating an arrangement to present

as a gift, making a centerpiece for a particular occasion, or

deciding which clothes and accessories to wear.....

So I took his advice ..........

The beauty of all the wondrous colors of nature..........
whether in the garden ,fashion, home..............

Fashion and the garden: They have much more in common

than floral motifs, adorning clothing ,or accessories. One is

inspired by personal taste, the other is ruled by the natural

world. Nevertheless, both fashion and the garden change

moods and palettes with the seasons, each influencing the

other.........

These zinnias inspire a rich display of
vintage accessories.
Pair common an uncommon plants, then
incorporate their contrasting colors and
textures into your wardrobe,too.
Clothing and plants have much in more in common than
just colors-----some are equally intriguing in texture!

Who doesn't love a gift of homegrown flowers.......
Picking from rows of zinnias and sunflowers
might inspire you to place one in your hair.
Pink and gray bring verve to an outfit........
or an arrangement of succulents........
Even those who don't garden can feel empowered
by local farmers markets and nurseries to cultivate
garden style-especially in early summer, when nature
offers fashion cues in abundance.

so there you have it, beautiful colors of nature...
to inspire us.........

I sure hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Friday Pretties

I wanted to have my Friday pretties posted first thing.........

But I've been a little sidetracked this week........

Wednesday night sometime, my husbands car was......

broken into..........

they got his wallet......... why he left his wallet? errrrrr

they also got our garage door opener...........

they fill up on gas......errrrrrrrrrr

It makes you soooooo angry that someone would steal.....

you know if they got something of theirs stolen they would

be furious...........

there is more but I'm in a little rush to post before I'm off

to work.............

and I didn't want to miss Friday Pretties..........

I'm in need of some pretties.............

So here is a few .......

I think I need this basket..................................

Yea! It's Friday...........

I sure hope your having a great day!

Relaxation.....

I'm soooo ready for a slower pace.......

Just chillin' & hanging out.............

No mad rush in the mornings..........

No traffic to beat.........

No morning lunch makin'......................

No homework to help with.............

The school year is winding down and we are getting

closer to summer break.............

I'm so looking forward to................

Taking a deep breath from all the hustle and bustle......

and just relaxing a bit.....................

I give us a week tops before those famous words...

I'm so bored...........

and the bickering begins........

and so goes the relaxation........

I'll be wondering........

"what I was thinking".........

but, hey it's good to dream.....

right?.......

I hope your week has been a happy one so far ............

It's That Time!

Saturday at the Farmers Market........

From spring until fall..........

farm fresh produce............

My sister, nephew and I enjoyed our first trip of this

year to our local farmers market! It's one of my favorite

things to do! From fruits, to veggies, to flowers, to food,

to herbs, handmade soaps, coffee,honey,nuts,

fresh bread................

Oh, it's a world of loveliness!

Warning lots of yumminess!

It's cool to support our local farmers! If you live in an area that you can.

The one thing I wanted though ,I didn't get :[

Yummy, Kettle Corn. They make it there, fresh!

It's sooooo good!

But, I think that was what a lot of people wanted too......

cause the line was so long.

So next week maybe I'll get my Kettle Corn!

Hope your weekend is going well!
