Happy Monday.........

It's a Happy Monday cause..................

The count down to Easter Break is here!

2 1/2 days and counting .............

Oh Yea!!!

Sorry, I'm just a little excited :]


Now on to my weekend projects...........

I got a little sewing bug over the weekend and decided to.......

try and recover some pillows and seat cushions.........

I'm not the greatest at it...........

and definitely a little impatient when

it comes to sewing.............

but I'm learning ...........

So here is a little peek............

definitely not perfect, but that's OK............

It only adds to the charm of handmade {Right}

I wanted to add a little french {chicness}

In the living room and on my porch.

I used all scrap material a had around

cause..............

that's what the budget required......... {no cost}












Remember the dollar store finds ..............

I used the place mates for the tops of the seat cushions..........

I thought it added that french touch......

Oooohhh La La...................





Well, not perfection but I think they turned out Pretty......

and the best part is the { no cost}

I used materials I already had :]

So thankful for the little things that can remind us to smile............

A good friend of mine had given me this photo of this boy a

while ago and every time I look at it I can't help but

Smile...............

I have it on a shelf in my kitchen and

on day's like today when I don't feel like smiling

cause I'm feelin' a bit

tired and grumpy

hopefully it will catch my eye

and remind me to

Smile...............

cause sometimes I forget

and need a little reminder

how important a smile can be.

Just look at his little happy face :]

you know you can't help but smile too..................

My little visitor

Yesterday I had a little company......

I got a chance to babysit my sweet lil'

niece and God daughter while they went to

the movies..........




It's been quite a while since we've had the pitter patter

of little footsteps running around......








My boys are gettin bigger :[ so it was fun to have a little one




to hang out with for a while........
{note how I said awhile}


A definite reminder of how busy a 1 old is.....



{And I do mean busy}...........................





She had fun getting books from the shelf and putting

them in a pile...........

and then putting them back on the shelf.............

many....... many......... times..............

she liked to read them.......................

stand on them.....................................

hide them....................................

put things in the basket.........................


dump the basket..................................

We then ventured outside for a little sunshine.............

{May I just say we've been having lovely weather}!!!

She did a little decorating................

and thought the pebbles looked better in the pot...............

and then maybe a little all over..............

It was a fun day with my sweet little niece ..........

Spring Is In The Air

Spring is in the air......

The birdies are singing........




We have had beautiful sunshine this week...

It's got me feelin' a bit of spring fever...



So I've been a little busy.....


cleaning and planting......




My poor yard has been neglected........



It's ready for some T .L .C .......



I've never had a garden before until last year......

My hubby built me my very own garden box...



We had two gardens ......

my little garden box

and a bigger one in the ground.....

we learned alot....

like not planting things to close together...

We had quite a jungle by the end of the summer....

So we are ready to try again hopefully with a better plan.....

{There's nothin' better than your very own veggies, you've

grown in your very own garden!}

I will keep you posted on our garden adventures......

My hubby also built a little corner prayer garden for me last year too......

My prayer garden is in need of some replanting too....

Lot's of work to be done ......

but with much benefits to enjoy in the summer!
