which then calls for morning breakfasts like this.

This is probably not the healthiest syrup
but when your budget doesn't always allow for the pure maple syrup.
or when you have mornings like this when I have everything else and then I open my cupboard,
and "what no syrup"!
So I like keeping this on hand, it makes for a nice batch of warm mable syrup.
it's so easy too
I usually use organic sugar for mine
which gives it even more of a maply syrup taste
its two parts sugar to 1 part water
and a 1 tsp. of the flavoring
much like a simple syrup.
and served over warm french toast or pancakes
yum!
We have been eating a lot of fresh local raspberries lately
mostly sprinkled over yogurt.
Putting them on my french toast this morning
with some pecans and the warm syrup
So delish!
There is something so elegant about eating french toast.
and it's a perfect treat for enjoying every last drop of the not so rushed summer mornings.
